Chris Janjic specializes in non-fiction cinematography with a focus on character-driven work. He is known for his calm presence and collaborative approach.
Chris served as Director of Photography and co-Producer on Firebreak, a feature-length documentary which premiered at the Bend Film Festival and went on to screen at the DC Environmental Film Festival and Capital City Film Festival. At Portland Panorama, it won the Bushra Azzouz Impact Award.
As a director of photography, Chris has contributed to projects recognized by the National Daytime Emmy, Northwest Regional Emmy, AIB, Communicator, Telly, W3, and Webby Awards, among others.
His clients include The New York Times, Adidas, Google, Max (formerly HBO), discovery+, Magnolia Network, Food Network, Wondrium, Coca-Cola, Gillette, Realtor.com, Jacobs Solutions, and Pearson. He has production experience in over 15 countries across five continents.
Chris began his career in film as Associate Producer on Jay Myself, which premiered at DocNYC. He earned his B.S. in Photojournalism from Syracuse University and is an alum of the Eddie Adams and Mountain Workshops.
He is based in Portland, OR, and is available for projects worldwide.
